Twilight

I awake with the dawn
Soft blues outside my window
Waiting for my body to come alive
It reminds me of the twilight hour
Soft blues outside my window
Willing my body to wind down
The beginning of the day
Is very much like the end
A parallel of life
What defines me is what I do
Between my dawn and my twilight

  1. We have a name for that shade of blue where I am… but you’ll see it soon enough, so, it’s a secret for now.

Now this seems to be an insomniac episode, caught in that little no-time between pre-dawn and actual dawn. Not quite awake but awake. Not quite asleep but asleep – like the world beneath that blue sky.

      1. It was kind of weird. There were two poems, but I couldn’t remember the second one. So, you’re not going to tell me the word for that shade of blue?
