Do not fill mine ears
With verbose apologies
Hackneyed excuses
I won’t let your late regrets
Encumber my happiness

    I was curious to see how you would do “verbose” – but as if to show your dissatisfaction with the nature of these apologies, you opted for something shorter and more to the point.
