Word of the Day – Intestine

I decided on a new project. Merriam-Webster dictionary features a daily a Word of the Day. I’m going to try to write a poem each day using it out some variation of it. Feel free to join me! Today’s word is intestine.

*****

This entropic life
This intestinal battle
I wish them done and over
These intrusive thoughts
These vivid memories
I wish them gone
I wish my mind to cease dwelling on you
But, I think
I shall never forget your kiss

  1. she reached into his stomach
mistakenly believing it to be the quickest way to his heart
    instead she unspooled his intestines
he gasped as she wrapped them around his neck
and left him hanging in the breeze of her discontent
