Underground/Collaboration, Part 14

What did we lose?
I suppose we’ll never know
I caught the blue of your eye
Before I sat down
I feel the heat of you
Burning through the seat
Warming me
My imagination has run rampant
We are having our first date
Nervous, unsure, but engaged
We are having our first kiss
On a cool, breezy evening
I shiver in your arms
And not just from the wind
We are having many firsts
But only in my daydreams
Because I can’t think of
The first words to say to you
My train is here…
I board
I watch your profile
As it bears me away
What did we lose?
I suppose we’ll never know
